That doesn't sit well with a lot of Reds fans (and I'm one of them). Corey Patterson is not the future of this ball club, and since it's clear the Reds are going nowhere this year, why not take that opportunity to bring up the young kids? My other issue with Patterson is that he's one of Dusty's "horses," and seeing Dusty's "horses" in a Reds uniform is exactly what I didn't want when Dusty signed on as manager. If the Reds didn't have any other options in the outfield, then I'd do the same thing with Corey Patterson that I did with Royce Clayton - completely ignore him.
