The Reds re-signed Ramon Hernandez today to a one-year, $3 million deal.
2010 season: saved
For a team that’s trying to save money, signing Hernandez (even at a reduced rate) hardly makes sense, but I run a website… by myself… with no form of advertising revenue to speak of, so what do I know?

I like this signing; especially if Ramon can stay healthy,and continue to hit.320 with RISP. this way the reds can consentrate on getting a LF’er and not worry so much about Janish at SS.
My question about Ramon catching is his relationship with the staff. I remember Arroyo saying he perfered to pitch to Haningan; was that just because Ramon was in the WBC,and Bronson didn’t know him that well? and did they ever straiten that out?(i don’t remember if Ramon caught Bronson at the end of last season or not).
