From Small Things (Big Things One Day Come)
The Milwaukee Brewers will be without the services of Mr. 3,000 this weekend (for a couple of reasons), but the Reds will still have their work cut out for them on this road trip. Three games against the Brewers and four games against the Cardinals — the second and first place teams respectively.
Jay Bruce said the goal is to come back in first place. I’m okay with that.
There’s a chance that Chris Sabo’s Goggles will be going to one of the Brewers/Reds games this weekend. After enduring the piss-trough that is Wrigley Field last night (never have I seen a team — the Cubs — squander so many opportunities to score a run), I’ll need something to lighten my spirits.
Lastly, Redleg Nation has some interesting thoughts on Edwin Encarnacion. They probably don’t want to hear that I hope Edwin is soon on the same bus out of here as Homer Bailey. It’s time.
