That sound you just heard — a collective sigh of relief from Reds Nation that the cause of Joey Votto’s dizziness is (apparently) just an inner-ear infection.
In other news, the ramifications of that extra inning game in San Diego are starting to appear. Micah Owings (and most of the Reds’ relievers) looked like a hot mess out there today, giving up five runs in three innings.
The fifth and ninth innings of today’s game were a tremendous accomplish for the Reds. Why? Because they were the only two innings that the Phillies didn’t score any runs.
Now Cincinnati gets to look forward to a holiday weekend overshadowed by the tremendous stink of people from Cleveland.
