With Edinson Volquez’s back problems, Joey Votto’s case of the spins, and a four-game losing streak, the Reds needed some good news. Aaron Harang provided that good news with seven innings of four-hit, one-run ball.
As frustrating as Harang’s ups and downs have been the last couple of seasons, I’m still thankful that the guy is on our team.
Remember when Brandon Phillips was mired in a slump and the Cincinnati media was ripping him a new one? The guy has quickly raised his average to .277, getting his second triple in as many days. Good for him.
