Take Me Home
April 23, 2009

Taking 2-of-3 from the stupid Cubbies is always fun, but a 7-3 road trip is fantastic.
The Reds usually seem to fall apart on the road, but this first road trip of the season was very promising. It wasn’t always pretty, but they played some good teams, faced some good pitchers, and found a way to win.
I have no complaints about that.
Joey Votto = Awesome
Chris Dickerson = Catch the damn ball!
Aaron Harang = Good to have you back, big fella

Okay, I hate to be wildly off-topic here, but I just found your blog and I have to say that this might be the best-named blog out there. When I was a kid, Sabo was my hero. I wanted Rec Specs so bad… Nicely done.
do they allow cloning in canada? it would be nice to clone joey and put at least 2 of them in the outfield
The Freaking Boss! I love it!
Now if only the Cards can lose 2 out of three to the Cubs, and we can win 2 out of 3 against the Braves the next three days, that would be mighty interesting.
I know, I know, its still early. But, hell, I ain’t seen Cincy alone in 1st in “a minute” as the kids say these days.
Viva Porkopolis!
Seems the hitting is starting to come around. Great start for Harang.
If Yonder develops, Votto will be eventually be in left.
You make a good point, afrankangle. Later this season (assuming the Reds fall back to Earth) it will be easier to accept that “help is on the way” in the form of the Triple-A guys, but it’s frustrating to see the SS and LF position players (among others) look completely lost right now.
Maybe the Reds are playing above their means this early in the season, but I’d like to see how much better this team would be if we had competent players at every position NOW.
Glad you like the name, RoundRock15. At some point I might even write content that’s as entertaining as the name of the site, but no promises.
