Some Days Are Better Than Others
You know what does an excellent job of washing the bad taste of a 10-2 drubbing (by the Pirates no less) out of your mouth? A complete game, three-hit shutout by Aaron Harang.
I’m still concerned by the lack of Reds hitting (even though I’ve been told time and time again that it’s their weakness), but then again it’s not every day that the Reds will face an army of Cy Young-contending pitchers like the starting five of the mighty Pittsburgh Pirates.
But, it’s still early. Isn’t that what we’re supposed to say to make ourselves feel better this time of year?
The Reds head north today to battle the Brew Crew of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They used to be in the American League, you know? Now we get to hold our breath while Edinson Volquez attempts to recover from that shellacking that was his last outing.
