Couldn’t Stand the Weather

If the Cincinnati papers are to be believed, no one in Cincinnati is reading this right now. 75 MPH winds? Seriously? And I thought the 6+ inches of rain we got in Chicago on Saturday was bad.
Destructive winds, flooding rains, Carlos Zambrano no-hitters – run for the hills, folks – the end is nigh.
Can I just say that it’s been really hard to give a damn about baseball these past few weeks. Really hard.
Sure, the Reds are winning meaningless games in September, but nothing I see gives me any hope for the future. Need I remind you that these are meaningless games in September that they’re winning?
I keep telling myself – It may suck to be a Reds fan, but it could be worse. I could be a Brewers fan.
At least the Reds have the common decency to crush our hopes by early July. They don’t wait until the last couple of weeks of the season to throw everything out the window, like the Brewers are doing.
FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW!
