My exposure to Reds-related news over the holiday weekend was very limited, but one juicy nugget managed to find its way to me:
Corey “The Answer” Patterson went 0-for-8 in Sunday night’s 18-inning game. Somebody give that man the starting centerfield job and bat him leadoff!
No Red has done that since Eddie Milner did it back in 1983. In 1983, the Houston Astros still had rainbows on their uniforms. In 1983, Jay Bruce was four years away from being born.
